About the Founder

Mohamed Zein founded Menalytica with a clear purpose: to close the gap between what investors need to hear and what companies can realistically deliver. With over 17 years of experience in equity research and investor relations across the MENA region, Zein has a proven track record of analyzing business fundamentals, uncovering value drivers, and crafting persuasive equity narratives that empower stakeholders to make confident decisions.

Investor Relations Experience

As the head of investor relations at Salik, Dubai’s exclusive road toll operator, Zein played a pivotal role in the company’s highly successful IPO. Salik raised $1 billion and achieved a valuation of $4.1 billion, with the IPO oversubscribed 50 times, reflecting robust investor demand.

At Saudi Aramco, Zein led the Analyst Engagement team, handling relationships with sell-side analysts. His team complemented market engagement with strategic market intelligence and competitive benchmarks, and guided communications with analysts during strategic milestones, including the acquisition of SABIC, Sukuk issuance, and crude oil pipeline lease and leaseback transaction. These efforts sustained market confidence through the volatile COVID-19 period.

Sell-Side & Advisory Experience

As a sell-side analyst, Zein advised institutional investors on investment opportunities across the consumer and healthcare sectors in MENA. His career in equity research included roles at CI Capital, Beltone Financial, Renaissance Capital, and HC Securities.

Zein also provided advisory services to SMEs on capital raising and private placements at FACT and guided emerging corporates on best practices in investor relations during his time at Instinctif Partners.

Education

Zein holds a BA in Economics with minors in Business Administration and Mathematics from The American University in Cairo. He is certified in International Investor Relations from the Middle East Investor Relations Association and the UK IR Society.
